Yesterday Emma and I flew to Chicago. After the longest security line ever (where they asked me to take off Emma's Robeez shoes), slight weather delays, and no naps, we made it, although we were both covered in mango spit-up. When we got to my grandparents house where we were staying, Emma was still too excited to sleep so she showed off her crawling skills and spit-up again, which is unusual for her. She was also running a slight fever, so I gave her some Tylenol. It wasn't until later in the evening that I figured out her problem...
She cut her first tooth!
She is no longer the toothless wonder. :( But despite the random spit-up episodes (which she didn't seem to mind), it doesn't seem to bother her too much, just a little extra fussiness. It's just barely poking up from the bottom, but stay tuned for pictures as soon as it fully comes in.

Boy! She's been a busy little girl with crawling and teething in just a short amount of time! I'm glad her tooth isn't bothering her too much. Cami is breaking her first molar and has been whimpering at night. Hopefully it finishes coming in soon!
We were just blogging about Elijah losing his front tooth. He didn't have ANY teeth until he was almost 5 months old. Now, going into the 3rd grade he is the last one with these big gaps up front. Emma is adorable. Give her a squeeze for us. Have a great time with family.
I can't believe they had you remove Emma's shoes at the airport. It would be very difficult to conceal anything in a soft leather shoe.
Congrats Emma on the new tooth. Bardo is cutting his canines now. They are brutal. He's very sensitive about his mouth, unlike Emma. Thank goodness he's in his own room because he whimpers a little in the night, too.
Way to go, Emma! This opens up all new possibilties for biting, chewing on your tongue, and gnawing on everything. We love you!
Yeah for Emma!!!
