Dave's Birthday

In January Dave turned thirtysomething. We celebrated at home by eating  his favorite dinner (enchiladas and white cake) and opening his present (a map of London in 1851).

Andrew: 6 Months

Hooray, we finally made it to January of this year! Way back on January 7th, Andrew turned 6 months old.
Stats:
Height: 25.8 inches (25%)
Weight: 14.3 lbs (4%)
Head: 16 inches (1%) --Yes, he is definitely our child.
Diapers: Size 2
Clothes: 3-6 months

Loves:
--Rolling and pivoting to get around the room
--Licking pretty much anything
--Eating rice cereal!

Firsts:
--Thanksgiving
--Visit with Santa
--Christmas
--Visit from Uncle Matt
--Rice cereal! He did great!

Personality Notes:
--Andrew is seriously the best baby (and I've had 3 really great babies). I don't know whether to have another one or call it quits while I'm ahead!
--He is so. happy. All. the. time.
--I've never seen a baby take so easily to cereal. Maybe he is so skinny because he was waiting for the good stuff.

New Years Eve

Like most of the "winter," New Years Eve was warm and sunny. We took the opportunity to get outside and prep the garden as a family.

We were also attempting to potty train Maddie.

Andrew was there too!

At the Park, with Cousins

On the last day that everyone was together at Christmas, we headed to the park for some outside playtime.

Andrew's first time on the swing!

He wasn't quite sure about it. Plus his puffy coat didn't help much.

Day After Christmas

On the day after Christmas, we took family photos. We had them done by Tara Vaughn, a friend of my from college, and they turned out great! The only problem was that it was scheduled in the morning, and it was pretty cold, thus all the little girls have red noses. :)

After a busy, formal morning, it was family jam time in the afternoon.

Christmas

On Christmas day, everyone was up around 7 am. But as we had Church at 9, the rule was that everyone could open their stockings but just look at the things under the tree.

Maddie modeling the jewelry and hair accessories in her stocking.

Emma modeling her accessories.

Benjamin loves his book!

All the girls helped empty Andrew's stocking.

Look what I found under the tree!
After Church, we attacked the tree. Warning: there are a LOT of pictures.

Andrew slept through most of the present opening, so Maddie helped us open his presents later.

He thinks they're pretty good.
Emma, Maddie, and their cousins are all readers and got many books for Christmas, so the afternoon was spent doing a lot of this:
