On Saturday, our good friends John and Lisa invited us over for a joint birthday party for Emma and their daughter, Mia. (The girls were born 10 days apart). Lisa and I went through our pregnancies together and the girls went through their first year so we thought it was only appropriate. Lisa made a yummy dinner, I made cupcakes, and Lisa even had party hats and bubbles! A lovely party all around.

Family pic!

The birthday girls! Note how Mia has cute little pig tails and Emma's hair just sticks out. :)

She's not sure what to think about the cupcake...

She finally ate a little of the frosting, but wasn't terribly impressed. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she discovers her sweet tooth.

Presents!
