Madeline's Birthday Party

When you ask Maddie who her friends are, she will say "Shizzy" (Lizzy), "Sha-sha" (Sarah), and "Oomer" (Boomer--a nickname). Lizzy, Sarah, and Boomer all belong to the same family, neighbors and friends from church, so that made it easy to invite them all to her party. We had a low-key backyard party, with hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner and plenty of backyard games the kids could play at random (ring toss, golf, water table, and the swingset). The kids had a great time playing and the parents had a great time talking, so much so that the only time I remembered to take pictures was during the present opening and "happy birthday" singing:
