July 2013: Defender of the Pool

Andrew took it upon himself to defend the pool from the ducks and goose.

July 2013: 4th of July

We spent a great 4th of July in our small town. We started off with a pancake breakfast, then went to the town parade:

We love the Sheriff's Posse--especially our friends!

The drum major in the middle is our favorite. 

We have friends with the Boys' and Girls" club too. 

Later that afternoon we headed to a barbecue:

And then we blew stuff up, like proper Americans:

July 2013: Klyde Warren Park

We took advantage of some relatively cooler temperatures and had a playdate at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas.

June 2013: Fancy Nancy Camp

Madeline danced, twirled, had tea, and basically lived as Fancy Nancy for a week.

June 2013: Andrew's First Dentist Appointment

He rocked it!

June 2013: Water Balloons!

Emma had a playdate with a friend from school, and we couldn't help making some water balloons!

June 2013: Summer Days

One morning, we went to Shenaniganz with playgroup. After playing on the bounce houses, we had lunch:

While we were there, Emma lost her first tooth!

After naps, we just relaxed and watched a movie:

June 2013: Baking with Dad

On Sundays, the kids love to make peanut butter balls with Dad. They are a no-bake treat so they come together really quick. Perfect for Sunday afternoons.

June 2013: Swimming with friends

Swimming with friends is always fun, especially when they have their own pool! Though in this case, who needs the pool--it was the hot tub that was popular!

June 2013: Dallas Zoo

In June, Dave's cousin Abbi came to town, and we spent a lovely day at the zoo with her family!

June 2013: Splash Park

We spent a lovely afternoon at the Splash Park--just before they closed it because of the drought!

June 2013: Gentle Zoo

Our first day of summer freedom also  happened to be a balmy day with highs in the 70s! We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and spent the day outside at the Gentle Zoo.

June 2013: Last day of school!
