Advent 2012: Christmas Parade

We just love the annual Christmas parade, and the weather this year was amazing! It was so pleasant to sit outside and watch the floats and wave at our friends who were in the parade.

Advent 2012: Rockwall Christmas Tree Lighting

Hank the Husky was able to accompany us to the Rockwall Christmas Tree lighting, which we attend every year. We got there early and played on the bounce houses before the actual ceremony.

Hank the Husky, the mascot from Emma's class, came home to visit with us for a few days. She had to keep a journal of what he did while he stayed with us, so we took advantage of some warmer weather and spent an afternoon playing outside.

Advent 2012: Santa at the Courthouse

Meeting Santa at the old courthouse is always the first event of the Advent season; usually it even comes before December! I dressed the kids up in their Christmas jammies and off we went. The girls were excited, but Andrew was NOT a fan of Santa. Thus his absence from the pictures:

On Saturday, Tyler and Brittany's last day with us, we visited the Dallas World Aquarium. It is always a favorite. We love the variety of animals.

Of course the weather in Texas is fantastic in November, and with the entire week of Thanksgiving off from school and Tyler and Brittany in town, we couldn't resist a trip to the zoo.
